My name is Astrid.
I'm originally from Venezuela and grew up in a Virginia suburb outside of Washington, D.C.. I am guided by my activist ideals and a strong belief that humans are capable of creating systems that center around care.
My background in journalism lead me to constantly examine the role of narrative in visual communication. I'm fascinated by how ideas can be best organized for highest impact, and strive to utilize the power of the visual language to share information, connect humans, and drive action.
